About The Bee’s Knees Co.

Crafted with Heart. Personalized with Precision.

Heat Press Printing

At The Bees Knees Co., we’re proud to offer both high-quality embroidery and custom DTF (Direct-to-Film) vinyl heat-pressed designs to meet a range of styles and budgets.

Our DTF vinyl heat-pressed options are a more affordable alternative to embroidery, perfect for those looking for unique, custom garments without the higher price tag. These designs are great for personal gifts, small events, or businesses just starting out. While heat-pressed items offer vibrant, detailed artwork and flexibility in design, they may not last as long as embroidery with frequent wear and washing.

Whether you’re going for a bold look on a budget or investing in long-lasting stitched detail, we’re here to help you find the right fit for your vision.

Embroidery

At The Bees Knees Co., quality and creativity are at the heart of everything we do — and it all starts with our equipment. One of the best investments we made to jumpstart our business was purchasing the Ricoma 15-needle commercial embroidery machine. This powerhouse allows us to bring your custom designs to life with precision, vibrant detail, and professional-grade quality.

With 15 needles, we can run multiple colors in a single design without stopping to rethread, saving time and boosting efficiency. Whether it’s personalized patches, small business logos, or one-of-a-kind gifts, the Ricoma helps us handle high-volume orders while maintaining the attention to detail that sets us apart.

This machine wasn’t just a purchase — it was a turning point. It allowed us to take The Bees Knees Co. from a passion project to a growing brand with endless creative potential. Investing in the Ricoma meant investing in our dream, and it’s been worth every stitch.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Alaena Jones—founder, creative force, and embroidery enthusiast behind The Bee’s Knees Co.

What started as a side hustle in my bedroom has grown into a passion-driven business fueled by community connection, family legacy, and the joy of bringing personalized visions to life. As a third-generation seamstress, I’ve always felt a deep connection to fabric and thread. But it wasn’t until early 2023 that embroidery truly captured my heart.

After experimenting with a hobbyist embroidery machine, I became fascinated by the digitizing process—how a single design could be transformed into wearable art. That curiosity turned into obsession, and in June 2023, The Bee’s Knees Co. was officially born. Since then, I’ve upgraded to a commercial-grade Ricoma machine and expanded into heat press services and pop-up markets with my partner, Zander.

What makes our work different? We don’t just take orders—we co-create with our clients. Whether you’re a business owner looking to brand your merch, a bride dreaming up the perfect gifts, or a parent wanting to personalize your child’s wardrobe, we walk with you every step of the way. From sketch to stitch, your design is handled with care, precision, and pride.

We’re proud to be a local, people-first business. No generic templates. No mass production. Just real conversations, thoughtful designs, and embroidery that tells your story—one stitch at a time.

Looking ahead, we’re dreaming big.

In the next few years, we hope to grow into a storefront or warehouse space, collaborate with schools and local organizations, and bring custom embroidery to more homes and businesses across our community.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

With gratitude,

Alaena
